The conference is exactly 200 years from the date when Belle Grove's Isaac Hite Jr. held the sale of 60 enslaved men\, women and children at the plantation. The sale was advertised in the Daily Intelligencer. \n\n \n\nLaurel Ridge Community College and Belle Grove Plantation are partnering to acknowledge this terrible chapter in history and use it as an educational opportunity. There will be a panel discussion and opportunities for others to set up information tables or displays.
