Artist Talk with Margriet Grant

Please join us at the ShenArts Gallery for an artist talk featuring Co-Op Artist of the Month Adriana Margriet Grant. Margriet will talk about her experience with Atelier Training which follows a traditional art education, where an aspiring artist studies in a studio setting or with a master artist. Rooted in Renaissance and 19th-century academic practices, Atelier Training focuses on mastering realistic, representational drawing and painting skills. Margriet will have an installation of her work on view to purchase. form onto a flat surface, Sight-Size Technique, placing a drawing board or canvas next to a model or still life to work 1:1 scale, and painting and drawing primarily from life.
