"This book was written in Summer 2019. Little did I know that one year later, a global pandemic would arise which would literally send the entire world ‘home’. I was in South America when it hit and was almost trapped abroad. One of the most remarkable scenes I have ever witnessed was being in an international airport watching thousands of people frenetically trying to get home. It did not matter what nationality or culture they were from. You could see the urgency in their eyes and facial expressions. It was evident in their movements and tones of voice. It was as if everyone was thinking the exact same thing, “I have to get home.” I may never seen anything like it again. In 2020 we are all spending more time ‘home’ than in recent memory. Home and the people we call home to are on everyone’s mind. On this note, I am quite interested to hear your answer to the question, “How do you know when you are home?” For those who cannot make the physical book launch, I will host a virtual event in October. Perhaps we can talk about that. Thanks to all for your amazing encouragement and support. More to come."
