Handley Library Annual Meeting - History Comes Alive

Join the Friends of Handley Regional Library System for their Annual Meeting Celebration. After a brief business meeting and a presentation to the library, hear author P. O'Connell Pearson speak about her historical nonfiction books for ages 10 and up. Pearson has written about women pilots during World War II, young men building and reclaiming national parks in the 1930's, segregation in Virginia in the 1950's and the national scandal Watergate. Winchester Book Gallery will be on hand selling Pearson's four books, Fly Girls, Fighting for the Forest, Conspiracy, and We Are Your Children Too, for signing. You could also win a Handley Library prize pack or book prizes just for attending!
