Job Summary:
The Compliance Coordinator assists the Compliance Manager operationally and other department team members in support of the organization’s compliance requirements established by regulatory agencies for licensing accreditation and certification.  This includes managing various projects, audit schedules, document collection and management. Provides administrative support as needed for Compliance Committee activities.
 
Essential Functions:
  • Monitors regulatory guidelines from DBHDS, OSHA, DOL to assist ongoing compliance.
  • Researching and analyzing matters related to existing and new regulatory, accreditation matters.
  • Supports Policy and Procedure development and maintenance; attends and provides minutes for Policy Committee meetings in absence of a committee secretary.
  • Supports CARF Survey Preparation compiling resources, assisting in standards review and documentation.
  • Assists with internal and external compliance audits and self-assessments. Provides related reports, researching and analyzing data.
  • Assists with development of action plans that address audit findings and supports continued compliance.
  • Supports manager with responses to alleged violation of policies, procedures and standards of conduct.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations.
 
Technical Skills: 
  • Effective use of Microsoft Office & Google Suite
 
Minimum Education, Certifications and Experience:
  • BA/BS degree, and/or related experience and/or training or a combination of both.
  • 3-5 years professional compliance experience
Work Environment:
  • This position works in an office environment
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.
 
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the position’s essential functions.
 
Physical requirements include:
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds
  • Ability to stoop and bend
  • Ability to work beyond the normal work schedule
  • Ability and use full range of motion
