A Day on the Tarmac: Wings & Wheels 2026

A Day on the Tarmac: Wings & Wheels 2026

The tarmac at Winchester Regional Airport – OKV came alive on Saturday, October 3, as Wings & Wheels 2026, presented by United Bank, welcomed families and visitors for a day celebrating aviation, automobiles, and community.

Guests explored aircraft displays, including historic aircraft from the Commemorative Air Force, an impressive lineup in the Wings & Wheels Car Show, and the always-popular Touch-a-Truck area. Craft and business vendors, food vendors, family activities, and live performances by Farren Winter and Chris Harasyn kept the energy going throughout the day.

More Than Planes and Cars

While aircraft and automobiles may bring people through the gates, Wings & Wheels is about something bigger: bringing our community together.

Throughout the day, visitors connected with local businesses, organizations, and resources while experiencing Winchester Regional Airport in a fun and engaging way. For the Top of Virginia Regional Chamber, the event reflects our mission to connect businesses, organizations, and the people who call our region home.

A Community Effort

An event of this size truly takes a team. Thank you to United Bank for sponsoring Wings & Wheels 2026 and for your continued support of this incredible community event. Their partnership helped make it possible to once again offer free admission and welcome families from throughout the region.

We are equally grateful to Winchester Regional Airport – OKV and its team for their partnership and tremendous work in preparing the airport to welcome our community.

A special thank you goes to our community volunteers and members of the Civil Air Patrol who helped keep the day running smoothly. We also thank every sponsor, aircraft and car show participant, Touch-a-Truck organization, vendor, entertainer, and community partner who contributed to the event.

Thank You for Joining Us

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who joined us for Wings & Wheels 2026. Seeing the tarmac filled with families, businesses, organizations, aircraft, vehicles, and excitement was a powerful reminder of what makes this event and our region so special.

Wings & Wheels is truly a community event, and its success belongs to everyone who showed up, pitched in, participated, volunteered, sponsored, and supported it along the way.

Thank you for helping us fill the tarmac, celebrate our community, and make Wings & Wheels 2026 a day to remember.

Until next year, we’ll see you back on the tarmac in 2027!
