Hob Nob in the Valley Brings Business, Government and Community Together

Hob Nob in the Valley Brings Business, Government and Community Together

The 2026 Hob Nob in the Valley, presented by Bank of Clarke, brought elected officials, candidates, business leaders, community organizations, and residents together at Chilly Hollow Brewing Company on Thursday, September 10 for an evening centered on civic engagement, conversation, and connection.

Hosted by the Top of Virginia Regional Chamber, Hob Nob has become a longstanding regional tradition, providing a nonpartisan setting where members of the business community can connect directly with candidates, elected officials, government leaders, and one another.

Creating Connections Across the Region

Throughout the evening, attendees visited exhibitor tables, connected with local and regional leaders, and learned more about the businesses and organizations serving the Northern Shenandoah Valley.

The relaxed atmosphere at Chilly Hollow Brewing Company provided an ideal setting for meaningful conversations. Whether discussing issues affecting the business community, learning more about local organizations, or simply making a new connection, Hob Nob created opportunities to strengthen relationships across Winchester, Frederick County, Clarke County, and the surrounding region.

At the heart of the event is a simple but important goal: bringing business, government, and community together. By creating opportunities for open dialogue outside of a traditional meeting setting, Hob Nob helps build relationships that can continue well beyond the event itself.

Hearing Directly from Candidates

A signature part of Hob Nob was the Candidate Soapbox, which gave participating candidates an opportunity to speak directly to attendees about their priorities and vision for the communities they hope to serve.

The Soapbox complemented the one-on-one conversations happening throughout the evening, giving attendees another opportunity to hear from those seeking public office and become more engaged in the issues affecting their communities.

We also extend our appreciation to every exhibitor, candidate, elected official, volunteer, sponsor, partner, and attendee who contributed to the event.
