Garden Talk: How I Learned to Love (Some) Bugs
We’re happy to partner with the Clarke County Library to present a Free Garden Talks Series – Sustainability in the Garden – at Barns of Rose Hill in 2017. All presenters are members of the Northern Shenandoah Master Gardener Association. The seminar will strive to persuade participants that no matter how disgusting and annoying and downright ugly they may consider bugs, they are only partly right. Yes, insects in the garden can be aggravating and destructive – but there are coping mechanisms available to wily gardeners. And some of those bugs are actually a gardener’s good friends and allies. Come and find out the whys and hows of the love-hate relationship between gardeners and the tiny creatures that bug them.
