Gardening in the Valley Symposium

Gardening in the Valley Symposium will be our first virtual event.
The day starts at 9am with
- Lynne Phillips of Natural Art Garden Center -Raised Garden beds vs traditional gardening.
- Diane Kearns of Winchester Cider Works - Returning to your roots,
- Mark Sutphin on Spotted Lantern Fly
- James Wood FFA,
- Perry Mathews of the MSV and
- Kristen Laise Director of Belle Grove on the historical presentation of enslaved workers.
Brad Garmon will speak at 12:30 - Urban Bee Keeping: Apiculture's role in sustainable urban agriculture and our final speaker Sondra Johnson - Herbs for Medicine and Cooking.
Throughout the day there will be door prize drawings and a silent auction and 50/50 raffle. To sign up for the event and check out silent auction go to our our website www.nsvmga.org .
All proceeds go to our Memorial Scholarship fund for high school seniors pursing a major in horticulture or agricultural sciences.
