Kids Fishing Rodeo

Spring Trout Fishing Derby Free event for children 15 and under. Open to public. Sponsored by Winchester Izaak Walton. Prizes awarded for longest fish.The event is free and open to the public.

It’s for kids 15 and under. No IWL membership needed. Prizes of fishing tackle will be awarded in age categories from toddler to teen, including two categories in which all ages compete – first golden trout taken and longest golden trout taken. The lake will be stocked with 400 trout April 23. Registration will be open at 10 a.m. Each child registered will receive a coupon for a complimentary hot dog, chips, and drink, which will again be served by Boy Scout Troop 63. For everyone else, Troop 63 will have hot dogs on sale. Fishing will begin at 11 a.m. with the sounding of a horn, and close at 3 p.m. Prizes will be awarded in the Chapter House at the close of the derby.
