Leslie Mendelson | Barns of Rose Hill
The Barns of Rose Hill presents newcomer Leslie Mendelson for what has been described by The Aquarian as “the closest thing one can get to a truly honest musical experience.” Grammy-nominated, Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter Leslie Mendelson is currently touring on the release of her most recent studio album ‘If You Can’t Say Anything Nice…,’ as well as a solo acoustic EP ‘In The Meantime,’ recorded during the 2020 lockdown. The songs that comprise ‘If You Can’t Say Anything Nice…,’ examine the anxiety stemming from the current socio-political climate. The album is a fitting extension of the socially conscious outlook offered on “A Human Touch”—Leslie’s duet with Jackson Browne for the documentary film, ‘5B.’ Described by All Music as evoking “1970s songwriter influences in the vein of Carole King and Carly Simon,” Leslie Mendelson has drawn the attention of some of rock music’s most legitimate voices. Having collaborated with such legendary musicians as Jackson Browne and The Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir, there's no doubt of the rarefied air she inhabits as an artist.
