Workforce Development: Investing in Tomorrow's Talent with Widget Cup

Invest in Tomorrow's Talent

The Widget Cup is a hands-on competition that challenges high school students to work in teams, solve real-world business problems, utilize technical skills, and develop essential workplace skills such as communication, creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking. Through direct engagement with local industry professionals, students gain valuable insight into career pathways, and the skills employers seek in today's workforce.

Join employers, educators, and student participants for an information session to learn how your organization can support this workforce development initiative. Hear firsthand about the impact of The Widget Cup and the opportunities available for involvement. Whether serving as a volunteer, mentor, judge, sponsor, prize donor, or provider of in-kind support, your participation helps inspire the next generation of talent and strengthens our future workforce pipeline in the region.

Grab some coffee and light refreshments, and discover how a small investment of time, expertise, or resources can make a lasting difference for students and our community.

Who should attend? Business leaders, HR professionals, managers, entrepreneurs, community partners, and organizations interested in workforce development, talent attraction, and student success.
