Arising Leadership Program Application - Class of 2024

The Arising Leadership Program (ALP) is a catalyst for the development of a dynamic workforce in the Top of Virginia region. This opportunity cultivates leaders in the arising generation that radiate confidence through awareness and experiential learning.

ALP Goals:

- Cultivate leadership and communication skills
- Explore the diverse facets of the Top of Virginia region’s career opportunities in business, government, and the non-profit sectors
- Instill and nurture a sense of civic and social responsibility
- Provide participants with a specific career pathway shadow session.

Participant Expectations: (each student is sponsored by a local business)

- Attendance: Mandatory attendance at each session is strictly monitored and enforced. Because of the required time commitment, the support of the participant’s parent/guardian is essential.

- Monday, June 3, 2024 Orientation 7:00pm-8:00pm
- Monday, June 10, 2024
- Tuesday, June 11, 2024
- Thursday, June 13, 2024
- Monday, June 17, 2024
- Tuesday, June 18, 2024
- Thursday, June 20, 2024

- Participants are required to provide their own transportation to and from the central meeting point. (Location: 509 Airport Rd. Winchester, VA 22602)

- All sessions are full day sessions. Times may vary, but please plan to be available from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm.

ALP Attendance Policy
Completion of the program will be determined by presence and participation in the sessions. To ensure that participants derive the greatest benefit from the program, attendance is required at all sessions. If you need to be absent from a session, the program coordinator should be notified as soon as possible prior to the session at 540-662-4118 ext. 16, or on the day of the session please text 540-535-8211.
