The Finance Leader (VP, Finance) at NW Works is responsible for developing, recommending, and implementing financial policies under the direction of the President/CEO. Oversees all financial aspects, payroll, including accounting, budgeting, cash management, reporting, forecasting, and strategic planning. The role also supports IT, grant tracking, and governmental contracts. Additionally, the Finance Leader collaborates with various directors to drive business development and mission growth by leading and supporting a client-centered team focused on finance and business services. The VP, Finance reports directly to the President/CEO and provides both operational and strategic input to the leadership team and Board of Directors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or a closely related discipline.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the following areas: accounting, finance, business planning, and budgeting with full trial balance and adjusting entry completion.

  • Certification in Public Accounting preferred.

  • Preference for experience in not-for-profit and/or manufacturing industries.

  • An MBA or CPA designation is a strong plus.

  • Proficient in (MS Office) Word, Excel, PowerPoint, QuickBooks and other applicable database programs.
