In 1908 local farmers and businessmen met in Timberville, VA to discuss their vision for community banking in the Shenandoah Valley. Farmers and Merchants Bank was established on April 15, 1908, to serve the general banking needs of the community. Since then, F&M Bank has been affectionately referred to as “my bank” by the personal and business customers who continue to rely on the products and services we offer.
