About Us
Fostering artistic achievement and advancing the arts since 1978, ShenArts was originally founded as the Shenandoah Arts Council to serve the northern Shenandoah Valley by supporting and promoting the Arts. ShenArts partners with more than 20 community organizations to make the arts accessible and enrich the community of the Northern Shenandoah Valley with diverse and immersive arts experiences - bringing art to the people and people to the art. ShenArts provides regional artists of all ages and skill levels with opportunities to exhibit their artworks in various partnership programs. Programs include monthly Teen and Kids art clubs, year-round outdoor gallery of ArtScape banners in Old Town Winchester and Middletown, members exhibits at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley and the Barns of Rose Hill, and annual Veterans and Youth art exhibits. ShenArts is a nonprofit organization supported by donations from the public.
