FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Top of Virginia Regional Chamber Presents Valor Awards Beneficiary Check

Winchester, VA – December 5, 2024 – The Top of Virginia Regional Chamber proudly presented a check for $2,200 to the Winchester Fire & Rescue Department as part of the Valor Awards Beneficiary program. The presentation took place on December 5, 2024 at the Winchester Regional Airport.
The funds will be used to offset the cost of purchasing new Class A uniforms for the Winchester Fire & Rescue Honor Guard. The Honor Guard plays a vital role in the community, providing a distinguished presence at ceremonies, funerals, and special events.

“We are honored to support the Winchester Fire & Rescue Honor Guard through proceeds from the Valor Awards,” said Kaleigh Fincham, Director of Events at the Top of Virginia Regional Chamber. “Their dedication and service to our community are truly commendable, and we are proud to contribute to their mission.”

The Valor Awards, presented by Bank of Clarke, recognize acts of bravery, selflessness, and heroism by individuals and units within the community. A portion of the proceeds from this year’s Valor Awards, which took place on November 7, 2024, is granted each year to a public safety agency or foundation within Clarke County, Frederick County, or the City of Winchester, VA.
