One Card, Endless Possibilities: Celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month this September

Winchester, VA — This September, the Handley Regional Library System invites everyone to celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month and discover how one free card unlocks a world of learning, entertainment, and connection across Handley Library, Bowman Library, and Clarke County Library.
A library card is more than just a way to check out books. With it, you can stream movies and music, download eBooks and audiobooks, access online learning platforms, research family history, use job search tools, and take advantage of free notary services. From preschoolers enjoying story time to adults diving into genealogy research at the Stewart Bell Jr. Archives, the library offers something for every age and interest.
This year’s theme, “One Card, Endless Possibilities,” reminds us that the library is for everyone—whether you’re exploring a new hobby, preparing for school success, or finding your next great read.
“Your library card is your all-access pass to resources that can inspire, educate, and entertain,” says John Huddy, Library Director. “At Handley Regional Library System, we believe in removing barriers so everyone in our community can connect with the information, ideas, and tools they need to thrive—at no cost.”

• Access the eLibrary 24/7 with Libby, hoopla, Kanopy, and online research databases
• Use free and discounted services, including notary services, printing via PrintMe from home, and local history research
• Attend programs for all ages, from book clubs and craft workshops to job fairs and tech help sessions
